Obviously, the nation is divided and there are millions of people who are scared, anxious, depressed and angry that Donald Trump is president. Many of them have resorted to medications and talk therapy to help them navigate their perceived nightmare. Perhaps there are other solutions.

We need to take risks in life in order to get the things we want. We risk failure. We risk rejection. We risk disapproval. And it's not fun. But it's a necessary part of the path to success and fulfillment. So we need to put ourselves out there. But we also need to pay attention and not be reckless and irresponsibly impulsive.

Passive-aggressive behavior is a covert attack upon someone else. On some level, usually unconscious, the person knows what they are doing is going to upset their partner, and that is what they want because of resentments they are harboring toward their partner. It is very unhealthy and destructive to the relationship. Best that we identify passive-aggressive behavior and replace it with honest communication regarding our resentments and grievances so that they do not come out in inappropriate ways.

Discipline is about motivation. Staying motivated. Keeping your eye on the goal. Always remembering why you want to work hard, what you hope to gain. By staying focused on your desired goal and how important it is to you that you attain it, it helps keep you motivated and disciplined so that you don't stop until you have succeeded.

When we don't like someone, we overlook facts and double-standards, and we twist the truth in regard to the things they say and do, so that our conclusions about that person are confirmed and reinforced. This is severe bias. This is prejudice. This is subjectivity, not objectivity. This is dangerous. This is short-sighted, self-destructive, and self-sabotaging. We need to stop doing this.
