Because hate invariably leads to violence, either at at emotionally abusive level or at a physically abusive level. Hate doesn't seem to tolerate differences. Hate doesn't seem willing to negotiate or compromise. Hate is just an extreme position, usually based more upon fear than fact, that imbalances us and leads to reckless, impulsive, short-sighted behaviors that are rarely long-term solutions.

Knowing that Madonna is a disciple of the Kabbalah, a Jewish Spiritual Program, it was disappointing to see her behave so badly at the Women's Inaugural March. If she would practice her program more and rage less, she would be happier and the world would inch closer to the Peace she claims she wants for it.

We need a universal translator so when someone says something we can press a button and we will hear what they really mean and what is really true. But since we don't have this we need to find ways to question even our most reliable sources and discern the truth amidst the tsunami of lies and fake news, AND we need to hold those who lie accountable.

It's bad. We are so caught up in our judgment and our rage, being verbally abusive towards those who disagree with us has become our reason for living, our daily pride. We need to stop it and start being compassionate and generous, even towards those we disagree with and detest.
