Improving school attendance and educational outcomes is a challenge felt across Australia.  It's a significant challenge also felt by First Nations students.

Indigenous educator Dr Chris Sarra has a few solutions to share on this front.

His philosophy of 'stronger smarter' was central to the rapid improvement of education outcomes at Queensland's Cherbourg State School in the late 90s to 2005...today he shares this philosophy with many other schools and communities around the country.
