In 2011, Arrernte elder William Tilmouth helped form a community-led solution in Alice Springs to improve the prospects of future generations of Indigenous people.
He became the founding chair of Children's Ground — a not-for-profit organisation led and run by First Nations people.
It set out on a 25-year plan, with a heavy focus on education, to support the next generations of Indigenous children and empower the local community to walk in two worlds.
