In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to Kath Choa, the mastermind behind the Manila-based solo indie-pop project, Flurry Rush.  Channa became friends with Kath by going to concerts and biking. 

Kath is also the one half of the duo Violet Aurora, writing the bare-bones of her songs with the guitar and integrating piano and orchestral synths to create a lush sound her music weaves together some of her biggest pop influences.

Her upcoming 5 track debut EP, recorded in her bedroom studio from July to October 2021. Is generous with lyrical hooks and melodic riffs and showcases the simplicity and intricacies we celebrate in pop music. It is set to be released in early 2022.

In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to Linus “Lee” Wester of the Swedish pop-rock band  Symphony Of Sweden. Channa got connected with SoS via the internet.

Coming from the North of Sweden with winter and ice bears all over the place, the music is the other way around. Grand and epic with huge arrangements, the missing link between pop and metal – this is Symphony of Sweden! Add the powerful voice of Linus “Lee” Wester and the creative talent of Pontus “Evan” Hagberg you will have a concept that brings you on a journey from here to eternity.

The band released their first album, Inner Demons in January 2021. But they didn’t stop: Symphony of Sweden is already working on their new album, which will be released in the first half of 2022.

In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to Caine Lian, Writer, Music Enthusiast, and Guitarist of Singaporean thrash metal band Krusnix.  Channa met Caine during his concert travels to Singapore. 

Caine joined Krusnix shortly after it was formed in 2016 and was part of their demo “Spill Your Blood”.  In 2021 Krusnix released their debut full-length album “The Constitutional Sacrifice”.

In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to Ashley Bean, guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of The Ashley Bean Band from Illinois. Channa discovered Ashley through Facebook.  

Ashley was nominated for two music awards in the year 2020 with the largest independent music award show, The Josie Music Awards. These awards include Best Song of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year. In the year 2020, Ashley signed a major distribution deal with Rock Avenue Records USA. 

The Band would say it is Classical meets Rock with a heartfelt and unique style. All of the lyrics and music are Ashley's original creations. Her vocal style and genre are distinct, raw and give her music an incredible commercial, but almost underground sound at the same timeless, not pretty and pink, but black on black.
