In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to People of Maha, an all-girl alternative rock band from Sofia, Bulgaria. Channa discovered People of Maha via Facebook and immediately loved the weird sound of their music. 

Mixing their Bulgarian and Brazilian roots, Alex Gesheva, the drummer from Bulgaria; Bia Carvalho, the lead singer from Brazil; and Mila Ninova, the guitar player from Bulgaria, form People of Maha, an alternative rock band based in Sofia, Bulgaria, created in 2018.

The band describes their music as a retro-futuristic-inspired kind of rock with influences from Pop, Classic Rock, Blues, Hard Rock, and more. “We like to describe our sound as something a person would play in the 70s or 80s if they were trying to sound futuristic for that period of time”.

Donna formed The Babes with her sister and brother as a family band in 2011 in Adelaide, Australia. The Babes are a love child of AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, and Skid Row, with hints of new southern rock gods Black Stone Cherry and Monster Truck.

In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to Antonio Araújo, the guitarist from KORZUS, the longest-running Brazilian metal band. Channa got connected with Antonio via Instagram.  

Araújo was elected second-best metal guitarist of all times in the "Leitura Dinamica" TV journal in Brazil. An open TV voting with thousands of votes placing him above names such as Andreas Kisser and Kiko Loureiro. He played in the mega festival Rock in Rio with Korzus for an audience of more than 70 thousand strong in a historical show televisioned live all over the country. 

Araújo also plays guitar for several metal bands, One Arm Away, Lockdown, and Matanza Ritual.

In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to Kalana de Silva, the Sri Lankan guitarist, Teacher, Performer, Composer & Arranger.  Channa and Kalana are childhood friends and grew up in the same town. 

Kalana is currently based in Middle East as a music educator, and he is the only guitarist in Sri Lanka who has managed to achieve FTCL (Fellowship of Trinity College London). He is still occupied in teaching and performing abroad for nearly two decades.

Influenced by the stories of those she meets, a largely classical background, and the elements of the Earth, she strives for an existence made up of art. Through the difficulties of a global pandemic, a national lockdown and a hard knock on the entertainment industry she has spent the time available to her working on her career as a solo musician. 

As well as working on a solo career Kat has shared the stage with Rhakshah as front woman since 2019.
