The Fanwidth crew celebrates an important milestone

The time has come! Kenneth, Natalie, and Collin are back together again to talk about the very harrowing journey each of them took through the world of The Last of Us 2. Join our hosts as they get just ridiculously emotional about the post-apocalypse (and the characters that inhabit it). Be warned: there will be spoilers. Though you should probably be able to tell that from the title... If you're cool with that, let's mosey on over and get ready to cry.

Amplitude — known for Endless Space, Endless Dungeon, and Endless Legend — are trying their hand at the Civilization formula with the upcoming 4x strategy game Humankind. Join Dillon (who just got hands on time with a preview build) and Danielle (who has a latent strategy game itch) as they discuss the game’s tweaks — including a very cool fame mechanic and the ability to meld different aspects of cultures into your own society.

Your regularly scheduled hosts have returned to regale you with stories of their time in school. Going back a bit further than that, the gang talks about the olden days of portable gaming (we will never forget the Game Boy Micro). And eventually there's even an itty bitty dollop of current video game talk! Get ready to learn as merritt, Steven, Niki, and Danielle take you to class.

We can't talk much about the story of The Last of Us Part II, but that isn't going to stop us from giving you the best review possible. That's why we brought the very best reviewers possible: Natalie Flores, Collin MacGregor, and Kenneth Shepard. The gang of queer critics has a lot to say about the often violent, sometimes touching game (despite a downright oppressive embargo). It seems there's a lot more to this Naughty Dog sequel than the marketing and leaks would have you believe! And everyone who's beaten it is very happy with the end result.

A dense, well-paced piece that takes a deep dive on black folks in the horror genre, peppered with interviews by scholars, directors, writers and actors, it’s an instructive, highly watchable, and important piece. We're joined this week by the special and wonderful Reviews Editor of US Gamer, Mike Williams, with the scoop on Skyrim! Well, he's really here to talk about The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor expansion. The new add-on brings us back to Skyrim, though, as we battle vampires and get a major lesson in Khajiit biology. I promise you're not expecting what you're about to find out. Plus, Niki has sandwich talk and wants to talk to John about Valorant. Steven finally brings up an extended overview of Monster Train, while the whole gang talks about games with long "lead-up" times.
