It's one jam packed week of discussion on Fanwidth, folks! Merritt, Niki, and Steven are finally here to report on Death Stranding. It sounds like merritt and Niki enjoyed it, at least! Meanwhile, Niki alone enters the land of virtual reality... three years after everyone else. Will he choose to refund his Oculus Quest? And Danielle wraps things up with talk about Mutazione and more of The Outer Worlds. That's not all, though! We've also got word from the trenches of Disney+. Maclunkey! Please enjoy...
Niki is out this week, so Danielle, merritt, and Steven dive deep on games! Disco Elysium is the topic du jour. Although we also go over The Outer Worlds (now that Danielle has played a lot more) and the games we'd like to hit before the end of 2019. Speaking of, Steven played a lot of games. Like... a lot. We shotgun those quick hits after some brief discussion of the live-action Casper movie. Luigi's Mansion 3 and some Apple Arcade games also get their time in the sun. Thanks for the knowledge!
It's (almost) Halloween and the gang is celebrating with another extra-long episode of Fanwidth: the Fanbyte podcast! Danielle, merritt, Niki, and Steven kick things off with a "live" viewing of the Death Stranding launch trailer, but things only get spookier from there, as we dig into Halloween themed events and games. Scariest of all, however, is the news that Danielle may have actually eaten the Gatorade cubes in real life... Let's wash that down with some more talk about The Outer Worlds!
This week, we have ourselves an incredibly special, incredibly long episode featuring a brand-new co-host. It's time for Danielle Riendeau, the new Senior Editor of Fanbyte, to enter the ring! She surprises no one by bringing some fantastic energy and a lot of thoughts on horror into the mix. But merritt and Niki are still as good as ever, too. It's time to talk about skateboarding and games that aren't Destiny. Meanwhile, Steven reviewed The Outer Worlds. What's that all about? Find out on Fanwidth!
Steven and Niki get together for a quick episode this week, as merritt deals with some dental issues. Don't worry, though! Steven also has some bad teeth what need drilling. So... Everyone is just super happy. Niki brings our spirits back up, though, as he gushes about Outer Wilds and its recent PS4 release. Maybe it's time to give that game another shot before Game of the Year discussions begin very soon? Maybe! It's impossible to know.
It's another exciting week in video games this week! Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and John Wick Hex are wonderful new releases that have captivated the entire staff. Naturally, we don't start by talking about either game, but go into Call of Duty Mobile instead... Don't worry, though! There is a LOT of Destiny chatter this week as we dig deep on the lore. After that, Steven describes John Wick Hex, the surprising tactics game prequel to the popular movies. Thanks for the knowledge!
The council of Merritt, Niki, and Steven convene this week to talk about the problem all three of them are facing: the Destiny 2 servers are down. At least they were when we recorded this podcast. We ruminate on that, how we feel about the new Shadowkeep expansion, and the Tremors films. No, really. Steven talks about Tremors a lot. There's also some discussion about the upcoming Dune movie and game, so don't let that stop you from enjoying the Fanwidth podcast this week!
We get straight to the point on this week's episode of Fanwidth, the Fanbyte podcast. It's time to talk about edible Gatorade... Seriously, though, NBA 2K20 continues to sound like the wildest game of all time. Niki takes Steven and merritt further down that dark and thorny path. Meanwhile, Apple Arcade has some cool stuff and the untitled goose game has crimes. Video games!
Niki, merritt, and Steven all get together this week to discuss the hottest new releases in games. No, really! It's a jam-packed episode of discussion about Borderlands 3, Control, Daemon X Machina, NBA 2K20, and... Well, the new DuckTales show isn't a game, but it does seem very good. We dip into all this and more (including a breakdown of Dora the Explorer movie)! And stay tuned at the end for a special developer interview, plus one more... special surprise after that. Thanks for the knowledge!
We're taking another week off as we prepare for cool new stuff in the future and hosts recuperate from illnesses. However, we couldn't let a week go by without at least something to listen to! That's why Steven stopped in to talk about Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne. After that, we take a second to discuss the weird discussion around Borderlands 3 review codes and other news of the week. Thanks for the knowledge!
