America’s connectivity gaps were realized, but not caused by, the COVID-19 pandemic. Remote work and home offices overloaded networks everywhere and millions of Americans simply couldn’t connect. It’s clear that our economic competitiveness relies on reliable access to high-speed internet and it’s also clear that America has some ground to cover. Together with our partners at CommScope, we launched the Million Feet of Cable Challenge. We have called upon partners and technology integrators across America to help us ship and deploy a million feet of cable by the end of 2020.
60GHZ represents the continued evolution of the Wi-Fi 802.11 standard, dubbed 802.11ay. This “new” protocol is making big promises. Like all things tech, 60GHZ went from idea to implementation very quickly, and many people – partners, MSPs, and VARs – are looking forward to what it can do... but what can it really do? This 60-minute session gets into the what behind the how. Our goal is to educate our partners on what is happening with 60GHZ, when it’s coming, and how to get in front of this opportunity.
Up for discussion:
Dozens of high-profile breaches make headlines every year. For each one you hear about - there are hundreds you don’t. The sudden acceleration of the remote work environment has once again created a wild west of sorts, where bad actors are rubbing their hands in anticipation. There has never been a better chance to hit paydirt than right now. During this 45-60-minute conversation, we’re talking with the cybersecurity front lines to get a pulse on the changes they’ve seen in the online landscape, threat environment, and changes attack trends. Where are bad actors focusing, and what does the risk for your organization look like?
Wi-Fi 6 is on the horizon, closer now than ever before, and the pace of change is faster than anyone believed possible. Within the next three years, Wi-Fi 6 will be in most devices in today’s homes and offices. Cambium Networks, with the help of our partners, is driving this change. Discussion highlights include:
Everyone wants to give advice about the future, but what about right now? The goalposts keep moving and it’s natural for businesses and decision makers to be concerned. Like many things in life, adding a little structure to your foundation not only calms the nerves - but also minimizes risk. We brought together technology experts to cut through some of the hype and give you actionable ideas and facts to use today, not next year. Part of this session dives deep into the latest Aruba technologies and talks about how modular solutions may be the saving grace in times of market turmoil.
We may not have had the IT and operations playbook for the first wave, but we can be better prepared for the next one. Featuring High Point Networks and SonicWall, this discussion dives into what businesses should be doing in Q3/Q4 to keep their networks secure and online. We’d love for you to join us.
As Cambium Networks prepares to roll out their suite of Wi-Fi 6 solutions, we conducted a 45-minute live roundtable that featured a no-punches-pulled approach to answering the questions partners care about most including:
What are Your Needs (Actually) – Businesses and consumers often don’t properly consider their needs. We outline what you should be thinking about, from hardware to software licenses. Intel’s 10th Generation i3/i5/i7/i9 – “What I do I Buy?”. The CPU is an essential component and the “brain” of your computer. The right processor will empower workplace productivity, improve game frame rates, and extend the useful lifespan of your machine. Gaming, esports, & Budgets – There’s a misconception that you have to “pay to play” if you want a good gaming experience, but Josh from ByteSpeed breaks down how you can play some great games on budget hardware thanks to optimization and hardware performance improvements. So, what do you need to play CS:GO or LoL? What about streaming? We call it out here.
The world has changed. The odds of us going back to “business as usual” once COVID-19 clears are effectively zero. This is not hyperbole and it is not hysteria: it is economics. If there is one positive from COVID-19, it may be that organizations the world over are now beginning to realize what the remote workforce of the future could look like in terms of costs, office space, and more.
Advice and tangible tools to solve pressing issues regarding business development, network security, culture, leadership, and more.
