Chaotic Readers

Back again, finally! Life with a new puppy kind of kept us from getting another episode done and just life. But we're back!

This months episode we talk mostly about our experience with BookCon this past April along with the adaptation of Project Hail Mary.

And of course, our little reading catch-up.

We want to dedicate this episode to the Pride community, all those who are here, living their life to the fullest and to those who have been victims of hate just for being themselves.

To show support during Pride month please consider donating to Rainbow Railroad at https://www.rainbowrailroad.org/donate

And something a little closer to home for us. If you have a moment and can help, this years Pride festival in Montclair, NJ has been postponed after some major donors pulled out. Please consider donating to Out Montclair (https://outmontclair.org/donate/).

We have our friend Casey joining us for this episode! We talk about our reading for 2025, a little wrap-up, our goals for the new year, and we discuss the group read we did (some in the middle of reading at the point of recording), Worst Case Scenario by TJ Newman

Welcome back! We’ve got our December episode ready for you, a little late but that’s fine! Things are getting a little crazy with the holidays.

This month we’re talking about hyped books! Over hyped, under hyped, appropriately hype. These are all our OWN opinions and if you think otherwise that is COMPLETELY valid and 100% okay! Sometimes, a book being overhyped isn’t even a bad thing.

if you follow us, reach out and let us know what you think about the hype of certain books. Do you have a favorite that deserves more attention than it got?

Back for another episode! We deviated a lot in this episode and ended up talking about Monster the Ed Gein Story. Connor and me both finished the 3rd season of the Ryan Murphy series and just kind of dove into it after Connor mentioned wanting to read something about him - which if you have any recommendation, we’ll take them!

The book topic for this months episode was multiple editions of books, which we do get to.

We’re back with another episode! We talk about our current reads, as always, and touch on our personal rating system. Breaking down what makes a 5 star and 4 star read for us. We also talk a little about our own writing.

I would like to note, that durning this episode I used the incorrect pronouns for Alyson Stoner who identifies with They/Them pronouns. I sincerely apologize, I had not done my part to ensure that I used the correct and preferred pronouns for them. It’s a simple thing to just respect someone’s identity and I meant nothing by it, it was an honest oversight on my part.

No we didn't stop, we just took a really, really LONG break... for literally no reason. But we're back and we have a plan and schedule, with plans to release a new episode the first Wednesday of the month - just one episode for now.

Coming back we dive in with a review of the last couple years, combining our wrap-up because we missed it twice... oops.

Also lots of shark talk. And Jenna starts on her mild spiral about the Dyatlov Pass Incident - look it up its wild. Recommend checking our the Morbid Podcast, The Last Podcast on the Left, and Astonishing Legends if you want to hear more about it.

Welcome to another episode of Chaotic Reads! This is an incredibly special episode because we had the pleasure of chatting with author of Tenebrium and Caligo (the incredible sequel to Tenebrium, available on Amazon), Elanor Miller! We talk about her series, Flappers and False Gods, getting the origin story of Tenebrium and learning more about the character and Elanor's writing process. There's some off track conversation, but that's pretty normal for our podcast. We had a great time talking to Elanor, so much that this is actually part 1 of 2.

Follow Elanor on Instagram @elanormiller to get the latest updates and new! We'll be sure to share any update that come as well!

Flappers and False Gods is a romantic, dystopian, noir detective thriller series set in a future where the prohibition/Gatsby era has come around again with incredible LGBTQ+ representation.

Both Tenebrium and Caligo are available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.
