In the 11 hours between 9 PM on September 27th, 2004 and 8AM the following morning, September 28th, 18-year-old Brittany Phillips was raped and murdered inside her Tulsa, Oklahoma apartment. Three days later, on her 19th birthday, Brittany was laid to rest with her stunned friends and family in attendance. In episode 1 of this chapter, we will explore the basic facts of Brittany’s case. While police have some physical evidence from the scene, including the DNA of a person believed to be her killer, no arrests have ever been made. Her case will be 15 years old this year.
