We watched House of the Dragon (obviously) and turns out it's great! We had a fun time watching it and decided to do a bonus episode talking about our favourite moments, episodes and, of course, characters. We've had a few technical issues recently but we'll be back to our regular episodes next upload. But for now, enjoy!

We really liked the new Marvel show She-Hulk! And decided to do a shorter bonus episode discussing the show as a whole. We take a look at all the characters, individual episodes that we thought really worked and ones we found a bit confusing. Also an episode under 2 hours? Who even are we?

This week Margaret takes Emily through a deep dive into Yuri and Victor from the show Yuri on Ice. Yuri Katsuki is a kind-hearted but anxious figure skater whose career appears to be over, until his hero, champion figure skater Victor Nikiforov, inexplicably travels to Japan to become his coach. High jinks, character building and some really gay stuff ensues. We explore Yuri’s arc of courage and self-belief, and how that intertwines with his romantic relationship with Victor. As well as the narrative shifts between Yuri and Victor’s perspectives which slowly reveal Victor’s mysterious motivations. It's one of Margaret’s favourite ships, and we hope by the end it’ll be one of yours too.

This week we're taking a look at Amy Santiago from the show Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Amy is nerdy, neurotic, ambitious perfectionist who loves her job at the NYPD, her boyfriend Jake and above all else, her dad-boss Captain Holt. We explore how her superhuman organisational skills make her really good at her job, how her less successful social skills make it hard for her to connect with others and how her brother is somehow Lin Manuel Miranda. We also have fun discussing the progression of her adorable relationship with her partner Jake who is still not allowed within 50 feet of Taylor Swift.

This week Emily introduces Margaret to Ted Lasso from Apple TV’s Ted Lasso. Ted is a fun-loving, super positive football coach from Kansas who works hard to manage AFC Richmond whilst being able to win over the team’s players, owner, press and therapist. We explore the 2022 Emmy Awards, Ted’s unique team building approaches and Nate the Great’s rise to power, plus we realise we know as much about football as Ted does. Richmond till we die.

This week we’re back for Netflix’s Umbrella Academy covering Five and Viktor Hargreeves. Five and Viktor are two of seven siblings adopted by eccentric billionaire Reginald Hargreeves, with supernatural abilities and a lot of issues. We discuss Viktor’s habit of starting the apocalypse and Five’s hobby of stopping said apocalypse and explore how both of their circumstances lead them to becoming the outsider. We take a look at how the rest of the family interact with these two and Five’s tendency to violence, but mainly we’re just glad Viktor finally gets a chance to be happy. Enjoy!

This week Emily and Margaret delve into Umbrella Academy to discuss brothers Klaus and Diego Hargreeves. Klaus and Diego were 2 of 43 children seemingly unrelated children born on the same day with supernatural abilities, but were both adopted and raised by the same terrible father. We discuss Klaus' abilities to commune with the dead and how that informs his reckless behaviour and stunning ability to run away from his problems. As well as Diego's insecurities which stem from being always being labelled as "number 2" in the family. That doesn't really explain his obsession with JFK though but many things in this show don't always make a lot of sense. 

This week Emily and Margaret discuss Internet Fan Favourite of the month, Eddie Munson from Stranger Things. Student at Hawkins High, Eddie is a fun loving, eccentric, Dungeons and Dragons obsessed oddball who gets wrapped up in the supernatural side of this insane town after being accused of murder. We try to decipher if Eddie really is deserving of the hype and explore how Joseph Quinn makes this social outcast so damn loveable. Will we become official #Steddie shippers? Or will Margaret just ship Eddie with herself? Stay Tuned to find out!

We’re back and unlike Anakin Skywalker we have not turned to the dark side but instead are here to talk about the second half of Anakin’s story. From being manipulated by Emperor Palpatine to becoming villainous Darth Vader, we explore Anakin’s iconic journey from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith to Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. We discuss Anakin and Palp’s trip to the opera, Hayden Christensen’s return and who we would marry from the prequels. And remember, just because Obi-Wan was there, doesn’t mean it’s his fault.

This week we’re taking a look at the first half of the story of Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars universe. Anakin Skywalker is a kid, gifted with the ways of the force, who comes under the care of Obi-Wan Kenobi who is clearly not prepared for what a rollercoaster of emotions this boy is about to become. We discuss Anakin’s journey in the Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars where his goals of becoming a Jedi Knight are constantly distracted by how intensely he is obsessed with his girlfriend Padme. Iconically terrible dialogue, obviously evil Palpatine and a Jedi council so incompetent that they put Anakin off democracy all together. We also find that Margaret and Anakin have one thing in common, they would both die for Ahsoka Tano.
