Hello there! It’s a long one so strap in because this week we are talking about Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars universe. Obi-wan is a Jedi Master who spends his life dedicating himself to the Jedi Order, learning the ways of the force and developing a lot of emotional attachments along the way. We discuss his wild journey from being Ewan McGregor to James Arnold Taylor to Sir Alec Guinness with varying degrees of camp energy throughout. He’s a fabulous guy with a lot of trauma and we can’t wait to talk about it… for far too long. Enjoy!

This week Emily and Margaret discuss Regina George from the 2004 cult classic film Mean Girls. Regina is reigning Queen Bee of her high school, and a master manipulator whose power is threatened by new girl Cady. We discuss her authoritarian regime, her weird relationship with her mum and her potential to bully the X-Men. She’s considered to be a pretty iconic character, Emily and Margaret even talked about her on their podcast once, it was awesome.

This week Emily and Margaret discuss Janine Teagues and Barbara Howard from the sitcom Abbott Elementary. Janine and Barbara are elementary school teachers who love their jobs and attempt to manage the difficulties that come with being a teacher, while also having a fun mother-daughter relationship. We discuss how they evolve over the first season of the show and also plan Janine and Gregory's future wedding. It will be chaos.

Happy Pride Month! This week Margaret and Emily discuss Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson from Netflix’s adaptation of Heartstopper. Nick and Charlie are two gay teenagers who attempt to navigate their increasingly complicated relationship while dealing with all the complexities that come with growing up. We reflect back on an array of 2010’s gay ships which were "our Heartstoppers", and appreciate the wholesome drama-free journey Nick and Charlie get to go on. We also try to figure out if Tao’s hair is natural, the jury’s still out.

This week Emily and Margaret spin the wheel and rank the first 5 characters in the Eternals. From both the comics and the recent Marvel movie, the Eternals are the world’s oldest superheroes who come to earth to protect humans, kill deviants, and look stunning while doing it. Margaret takes a slightly more critical approach to the analysis while Emily defends the movie like her life depends on it. Margaret couldn’t stop her.

This week Emily and Margaret discuss the infamous character Jim Moriarty from the Sherlock Holmes book series and more specifically the tv show BBC Sherlock. Moriarty is a consulting criminal whose goal is to ruin Sherlock’s life and have fun whilst doing it. We talk about 2 super well written episodes of TV, and then discuss some of the more bizarre choices made in the rest of the show. Both this show and Jim’s insane quotes had such a hold on us in our teens and we had a lot of fun talking about it.
