 Call this our Green Lantern Teaser. Kriss & Dpalm go over the early years of Green Lantern and the Green Lantern Corps and cover some of the basics you'll need for our massive second (and possibly third) part. This Character Corner basically covers the introduction of the 4 main Green Lanterns of Sector 2814: Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner. The focus is mainly on Hal's rise and fall ending with him becoming Parallax and destroying the Corps. First Character Corner of 2017 is here! Kriss and Dpalm start the year off talking about Piotr Rasputin (Colossus) and Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat). We start with Giant Size X-Men #1 that gives us our first introduction of Colossus along with a bunch of other fan favorites like Storm & Nightcrawler and the second full appearance of Wolverine. We then go through the Claremont years and discuss then the introduction of Kitty Pryde and why the character is so important. The relationship between Peter and Kitty is a bit weird because of their ages but it develops into something less creepy.  This Character Corner also was a great excuse for us to re-read Joss Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men run which at its core is a Colossus/Shadowcat story. Along the way we geek out over how much we love the X-Men growing up and the potentials for doing Wolverine and Cyclops Character Corners.

Last Character Corner of 2016! We wrap up our Teen Titans coverage with a discussion with watching the Titans mature as well as the next generation (Young Justice) becoming the new Teen Titans. Part 2 focuses on the relationships amongst the group, Cyborg's development and a lot of tragedies & deaths. Oh and throw in a continuation of Deathstroke's tragic relationship with the Teen Titans.

We're finally back with another Character Corner on the MTR Network. This episode is part one of our two-part Teen Titans series. In this first part we talk about the origins of the Teen Titans and their original team of Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad and Wondergirl. This Character Corner we take a trip to the mystical side of the Marvel Universe and talk about Doctor Stephen Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme. With Doctor Strange making his live action debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we thought it wise to give a break down of the character and some essential reading. We start off with his origins and discuss Strange's ethnicity as well as some of the problematic issues at the base of the character. It's time for another Character CornerLuke Cage debuts on Netflix this Friday. Misty Knight will also make her live action debut in that 13 episode series. We decided that this is going to be Part 1 of our Heroes for Hire series as its hard to talk about Luke Cage and Misty Knight without Danny Rand (Iron Fist) and Colleen Wing. So we'll definitely be talking more about Cage & Knight when we do Iron Fist/Colleen Wing next year, but we start you off with the essentials. Luke & Misty are both African-American characters that come from the blaxploitation era of Marvel but have become solid characters that are so much more than that. Luke Cage's origin story still holds up pretty well and is very relevant in today's climate. Misty Knight has never had her own solo book, but she's been central in several series. We end our 3 part Rogue War Character Corner special with the only group of villains to actually be Rogues (well at least part of them). They might have silly costumes and silly names but when you realize that these villains go up against the Fastest Man Alive and routinely give him hell, you realize just how powerful and dangerous Flash's rogues are.
