Just like His father, King Ahaziah's heart is far away from he true God is Israel. When he gets injured, instead of putting his faith and trust in the one true God, he seeks answers from a false idol. Elijah on the other hand, finds himself in a situation completely opposite.

Jesus is not only concerned with our physical health, our physical bodies but more importantly he is concerned with the state of our hearts. The most important thing to Jesus is whether we have been forgiven of our sins. Have we taken His forgiveness for granted?

How many times have you been able to say "For it is written!" and use the Word of God to combat all that would come against the glory & knowledge of our Lord? God commands us to keep his Word in our hearts and our minds and to meditate on it day and night. Jesus gives us a perfect illustration on how to use the Bible as an offensive weapon. At times we can be so caught in our own problems that we neglect to see the problems of those around us. Jesus left his throne in Heaven, not for His own welfare but for the welfare of those that would believe in Him. He counted us more significant then Himself. We are called to do the same.

Drunkery, adultery, fornication, theft, pride, lying. These are all sins that we might have endulged in. As for Paul, he was a persecutor. He persecuted the church of God! But God did something miraculous in Paul, something that he can do in all of us. Through the power of the gospel he washed Paul clean and gave him a new heart and new desires. When we believed and put our faith in the true gospel of salvation, he can do the same for us.

As Paul is awaiting execution, he tells Timothy to "Preach the Word, in and out of season". As Christians, regardless of the circumstance we need to share the good news of the gospel so that people can be saved.... Even through a pandemic quarentine!

In today's world, there are so many ideas, beliefs and opinions that disguise themselves as "truth". God's Word tells us that he is the standard for all truth and there is only 1 true living gospel that has the power to save.
