Who is the Holy Spirit?

Genesis 1:2 & 26, John 3:6-8, Romans 8:1-4

 

The Holy Spirit is God. (Genesis 1:2 & 26)

The active presence of God.

The revealer of God’s grace.

The giver of true life in Christ.

How do we “flesh out” an understanding of the Holy Spirit? (John 3:6-8)

God the Father: He created your skin.

God the Son: He saved your skin.

God the Spirit: He gets under your skin.

Key thought:  The Holy Spirit is the indwelling presence of God in the person of the believer. 

So what does this mean for you? (Romans 8:1-4)

 When you are alive in Christ and led by the Spirit you begin to:

…see what God sees.

…hear what God hears.

…say what God says.

…go where God wants you to go.

Final Thought:  The power of a Spirit led life is one in which you follow in being an active presence of God, a revealer of God’s grace, and a giver of true life in Christ.
