Meet the guest: Charis Waters is a Graduate Research Assistant, PhD student in the Department of Poultry Science at Mississippi State University. She earned her Masterโs in Poultry Science from Mississippi State, where she researched laying hen production, performance, bone health, and inositol levels in relation to limestone particle size ratios and phytase levels during the post-peak and late-lay periods. Her PhD research focuses on the role of branched-chain amino acids in laying hens, examining their growth from pullet to late-lay stages. Charis is also a member of the Poultry Science Association (PSA).ย
