Mike and Phil kick off 2022 with a retro pod about computer football games of yesteryear. They are also thrilled to welcome Championship Manager enthusiast and published author David Black. There are no more beer facts so a new feature has been introduced to replace it.

At the end of a long year for the charity football world, Phil, Iain and Mike invite some old friends onto the pod to talk about their year in charity fundraising and how well (or not) their fantasy football team is doing.

Recording live from the oldest football ground in the world - Sandygate Lane - the home of Hallam FC, the boys talk to the treasurer of Hallam FC, a representative of Football for Foodbanks, two members of a local band - Slash Fiction - who are raising money for charity at Hallam FC and the sports therapist for Hallam FC who not only saved the life of a linesman who collapsed with a suspected cardiac arrest but who also is raising money to buy defibrillators for sports grounds.

Even though we are plagued with technical issues, we still soldier on. This week we talk about racism in football, the England performance in Euro 2020, marshmallows, chip spice and Marmite and we welcome our very special guest - a former CFWPod Hero of the Week - Kevin Bryers from Team Beatson who has achieved so much for charity football in such a short time.

No Iain this week so Phil and Mike let loose about the England win with no fear for their long-term health. There are a plethora of forty second match reports to get through and the boys talk to Tim Clarke about the Liam Shepherd Foundation and their Sports Memorabilia Auction.
