Starting off with some breaking news out of Thailand. Multiple news sources are reporting a former Thai Navy diver who joined the operation to rescue 12 boys and their coach from a cave in northern Thailand has died. A Thai Navy source told media the former SEAL died due to a lack of air while attempting to return to a command center inside the cave, where the young soccer team and their coach have been trapped for almost two weeks. The accident occurred around nine hours ago, and The Guardian is identifying the diver as Samaran Kunan, aged 38.
The number of deaths linked to the current heat wave in Quebec stood at 33 on Thursday, according to public health officials, with 18 of those concentrated in Montreal and its suburbs.
