At Christmas, God remembered both the young and the forgotten. Before He visited young Mary in Nazareth, he passed by an old couple; Zechariah and Elizabeth whose dream appeared buried and forgotten. God is not a respecter of persons and can change your life at any age!

God never created man to be independent and we realize our true freedom when we submit our lives to Christ. When we want to take control of our lives, we lose it but when we lose our lives in Christ, we find our freedom!

Nations remember their heroes who waged war to fight for their freedom. At Christmas, we celebrate Jesus Christ who is our Freedom Fighter who delivered us from the power of sin and death!

A Generous Heart will always think about others who are less fortunate during the hard seasons of life. It will always feel dissatisfied to eat alone.

The actions of generosity we take today have the potential to influence the future of our children. Jonathan was kind and generous to David and in doing this planted a seed from which his son Mephiboseth ate the fruits!

There is something about children that touches our hearts. That is the very thing that saw Jesus tell his disciples to allow little children to come to him. When we touch children with our generosity, it comes back to us. Whosoever touches a child builds a bridge that shall come in handy some day to come.

Fasting is part of a believers life where we take time to humble ourselves by missing meal and pleasure for a while to entreat God into our situations. Fasting is biblical and a good discipline but God also advises believers others way we can witness his interventions in our lives. One of such ways is through a generous heart where we partner with God in helping the poor and the needy who comes our ways. God called such true fasting and promises breakthrough in our prayer life. At a time when the drive for many is to focus on self and turn a blind eye to the suffering of many out there, God is still looking for people that can partner with him in alleviating human suffering. The scriptures reminds us that whosoever gives to the poor lends to the Lord and God always repay. God is asking us to go beyond thinking about ourselves and reaching out to others.
