On his show, Kirk said, "If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, ‘Boy, I hope he’s qualified’" and expressed similar doubts about a Black lesbian surgeon. His producer, Blake Neff, attributed Kirk's statements to "the reality the left has created", suggesting DEI policies cause such biases. Kirk, who also criticized Martin Luther King Jr. and supported segregative views on his show, hasn't faced significant backlash from Republican figures or his employees.
