Emma loves waking up with the sun, having an early ocean dip and she is on a mission to educate the world to tread a little lighter.
She started her travel journey in Peru and ended up in Canada working on the mountains. Emma was born with a passion for conservation and it really hit her when she visited Heron Island and saw the beauty of the underwater world. She was all in on the plastic free journey.
The start of this journey was a bit doom and gloom, especially when the video of the turtle with the straw up its nose came out, but now so many people are aiming for a more eco friendly lifestyle and so many people are keen to learn how they can be more sustainable and this is super uplifting!
Through the development of her passion project 'Bare Minimum' and participation with other volunteer organisations, including 'Take 3 For The Sea' Emma has now ended up working as a waste project officer and gets to educate the public about recycling, composting and all things sustainability. To top it off she is making it available in several languages!
Every little bit helps when it comes to the environment.
Tune in to this episode to be inspired to make a change and become more eco-friendly.
