Perry admits, “I’ve chased so many things in life trying to fill my heart, heal my heart, heal my shame, to try to fix myself.” Then, Shawna breaks down how to read the bible for all its worth. Next, his name meant “liar, cheat, conman, thief, deceiver.” And when he finally owned who he was, God gave him a new name. Then, Perry and Shawna admit to being easily offended because of their struggle with pride.

Next, this last weekend Perry was in his hometown of Cheboygan and was remembering lots of good things, but also remembering some great big failures.  And Kristin, from Grand Rapids, a Perry and Shawna Mornings listener has some powerful encouragement for Perry.
