Chasing Tomorrow show hosts Dave Proctor and Joe Gagnon interview Justin Kripps. Justin is a three-time Olympian and 2018 gold medal winner in the two-man bobsled.  The son of humanitarian parents who worked globally for UNICEF, Justin split time growing up on the beaches of Na'alehu, Hawaii, and Summerland, BC before being Introduced to bobsleigh in 2006, he discovered that the sport was the perfect blend of speed, strategy, and strength and the rest is now Olympic history

Hosts Dave and Joe interview Maggie Guterl who is at the top of the ultra running world. In 2019 she won Big's Backyard completing 60 laps (250 miles) and looked like she was all set for a record-breaking performance.  She has run in the Barkley's on numerous occasions, a top 10 at Western States, a 4th place finish in the 24-hour worlds, and she just seems to be getting going. Maggie is living in Durango, CO, and is enjoying her time in 2020 to just enjoy the mountains and not have so much racing to do.

Dave and Joe interview Anna Carlsson, one of the most promising Ultra-trail runners in Sweden. Anna has only been running ultras for 3 years and is already ranked as one of the Top 10 runners in ITRA Large. Living in the northernmost part of Sweden she is close to the arctic circle and truly loves being out in the wilderness.

Dave and Joe take a break from interviewing and spend some time talking with each other about the podcast, what they have learned, and what they are looking forward to as the podcast grows and develops. They also discuss what it has been like for them during the pandemic and how their own training is going,  and get into some great stories that come when they take on some very big challenges on their journey.

Dave Proctor and Joe Gagnon interview Pete Kostelnick, two-time winner of the Badwater  135, and the current record holder for the U.S. trans con run at 42 days.  Pete has been competing in ultras for the past ten years.  Pete is arguably the best in the world in multi-week running challenges. He trains every day and runs on average about 150 miles a week.  Pete is a truly remarkable member of the ultra running community.

Dave and Joe interview Jess O'Connell, 2016 Canadian Rio Olympic competitor in the 5k race.  Jess has been competitive since the age of five when she dreamed up the idea of one day being in the Olympics.  She competed for over ten years as an Irish step dancer and her resulting fitness got her ready for the track and running the 5k.  Jess was getting prepared to try out for the Tokyo Olympics when they were rescheduled to 2021.

Dave & Joe interview Gary Cantrell, AKA Lazarus Lake, creator of the Barkley Marathons & Bigs Backyard Ultra. Laz is known around the running world as arguably the most iconic RD's and for creating diabolical races that "everyone" wants into.

Dave and Joe interview Alysia "Riz" Rissling, a Canadian Olympic Bobsledder who competed in the '18 Winter Olympics.  Competitive in all sports growing up, it was during the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in '12 when she decided she wanted to go to the Olympics. Well, as improbable as that thought was for someone completely new to the sport, before you knew it she was on the Olympic team. Highlights include going 90mph, crashes, prepping during a pandemic, and how she is Chasing Tomorrow.
