John Crossman is President of Crossman & Company, one of the largest retail leasing, management, and investment sales firms in the Southeastern US, with over 28 million square feet of properties located in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi and Tennessee. Under John’s leadership, alongside his brother Scott, Crossman & Company has been named one of the “Best Places to Work” by Florida Trend magazine.
John has been an active member of ICSC for over 22 years. He has also held either a national, regional or state level ICSC leadership position since 1997, including the ICSC RECon Advisory Board, CRP/CSM Admissions & Governing Committee and a member of the ICSC Foundation Board of Directors. John is Past President of the Central FL Chapter of NAIOP and an executive board member for the UF Bergstrom Center for Real Estate and FSU Center for Real Estate Education. Governor Rick Scott appointed him onto Valencia College's Board of Trustees, and in 2015, presented him with the Governor's Business Ambassador's Award.
As an active speaker and writer, John has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes.com, Shopping Centers Today, to name a few. He was appointed as an executive member of the DOT by Mayor Buddy Dyer. For the last 6 years, was appointed to the Regional Service Academy Nomination Board for Senator Marco Rubio.
John is nationally known for his passion for diversity and his work with college students. Acting on his passion, John has an endowed student scholarship foundation established at FSU, Florida A&M, and Bethune-Cookman, named after his father, the late Reverend Kenneth C. Crossman.
In his spare time, he is involved with numerous charitable activities and considers his greatest achievement to be the fact that his wife, Angie, agreed to marry him in 1996. They have 2 daughters, Claire & Ava.
