When there's no Bundesliga action to cover we do our usual... Special Episode.  This week Jason & Mark sat down to talk about their long weekend in Germany.  From Cologne to Berlin covering 4 games in 4 days.  We share all the COVID-19 Protocols needed for entering Germany from the UK.  We also review the 4 matches we attended. The fixtures were Bayer Leverkusen vs Real Betis (Europa League), Hertha II vs Lokomotive Leipzig, Luckenwalde vs BAK '07 and finishing at the Olympiastadion for Hertha vs Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.  Part 2 we have special guest Feargal McEvoy from the well known Halb Vier Magazine.  The Fanzine that covers German Football for an English speaking background.  Feargal shares his love for German football, how he set it up and gives us a little teaser what's in store for Issue 8 which will be out soon.  Enjoy!

Our second Episode of this week is the Pokal Special from a crazy second round of football.  Kickstart your weekend by listening to our 4 selected matches with Guests.  On the pod we welcome Chris Wilkin from Newcastle who runs the UKFortuna fan club.  He tells his stories how he got into German Football and reviews the 3-0 defeat at Hannover 96.  Our second guest is Ben Bray from Southend-on-Sea.  Ben has a love for St Pauli and is in the exciting fan club called 'St Pauli on Sea' which also have 7 a-side team.  Ben also reflects back on their big win in Dresden.  Our third guest who you might recognise from writing in Halb Vier, Bulinewsdotcom and Get German Football News is Jamie Allen.  He briefly tells us why he likes German Football from the lower leagues.  Jamie is joined by a jubilant Mark Hush and both reflect on the big night at the wonderful Grunwalder Stadion as 1860 book themselves into the last 16 of the Pokal defeating another Bundesliga 2 side.  Our 4th game we Discuss is the Union scare at Mannheim.  We end by talking about all the other results including that big win for Gladbach against Bayern Munich... Farmers League you say?

International break is over so that means the Bundesliga is back! Jason and Mark cover all the action on Matchday 8 where Bayern Munich dismantle Bayer Leverkusen title hopes, Haaland returns from injury and does his usual, Freiburg remain the only side in the league that's unbeaten plus all the other action.  Eva-lotte Bohle from Bielefeld in Germany, who you might recognise from the '2. Bundesliga Podcast' is our special guest.
