Rhonda Sonnenberg is an international journalist, former government speechwriter, wife, author, mom, and owner of the North Point Plantation. She started her life over at 47 after her 30-year marriage ended. While working through grief and loss, Rhonda decided to move to Washington, D.C. to pursue her dreams - this was after 20 years of not being in the traditional workforce.
During her first year of her new life, she only made $600 for the entire year. Through her struggles, tears, and financial struggles, she never gave up - she tapped into her survival instinct. Her journey provides a glimpse into the pain and beauty of starting over after divorce.
Rhonda did not give up on love and met her husband, Bill, of almost 6 years ago. She and Bill turned their vacation home into a a bed and breakfast and wedding venue, North Point Plantation. The B&B is about 30 miles from Richmond and overlooks the Mattaponi River in King William County. The B&B is available for weddings, vacations, honeymoons, photoshoots, and much more.
