We then take a trip with Jason Johns of Boneyard fishing on Rend Lake and hear about the numerous full limits of 25 crappie each, with ten being over 10 inches and how this is going to continue for a long time. Then Steve Ettenger the Executive Director from the Illinois Conservation Foundation to talk about the Directors Hunt on November 27 and 28 at the Jim Edgar Panther Creek SFWA just west of Springfield, Illinois. Steve Silic the Head of Fisheries for the Cook County Forest Preserves (CCFPD) will be giving us the report on what lakes are stocked in the CCFPD with thousands of rainbow trout.

    On today’s show we have Capt. Tony with a salmon report on Lake Michigan and a report on his trip with Tom Palmisano, Kevin Irons and me this week. Then at the beginning of the week we were at Braidwood Lake with Brett Nauman of Constellation and Seth Love the fisheries biologist of the IDNR for the area. We were putting in 50 fish cribs to bring the total up to 1450 cribs that Constellation has bought. Last, but not least, Chris Taurisano of T Bone Guide Service had one of his clients take a 50 plus inch muskie and what we should do to prepare for fall fishing.

Then I went into the archives as I said and found the interview I did with Doctor Howard Tanner, the father of all salmon fishing in the great lakes. He turned a 100 last week and I wanted to let you hear the voice of a man who opened the outdoors for so many. Then Phil Guttman, a good friend of the show from the Fox River Valley Muskie group will talk about the Illinois Muskie Tournament Trail event on the Illinois Chain of Lakes next weekend where you could win big money.
