On this week’s Chauncey’s Great Outdoors were going to hear from Tim Mondl from the Forest Preserve District of Cook County telling us about all the programs in the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Then Mike Reynolds, my hunting buddy will be coming on to tell all the hunters about the whitetail deer’s, hearing, eye site, nose and the sensitivity of each of them and how you might fool one of them, but you’ll never fool all of them when your hunting. You'll want to hear more this from Jim. Then I’m happy to announce on Chauncey’s Great Outdoors two people that will be honored next year by being inducting into the Illinois Outdoor Hall OF Fame at the Illinois Conservation Foundation Dinner, Bob Wilkins and Jim Smitty of Teach Outdoors from Morris Illinois. They are a group that was founded on bringing kids along with their parents into the outdoor sports of hunting, fishing and more and getting the youth excited about more outdoor time then X Box time. We will also have the Aiden Fishing Report, outdoor news and more.

On this week’s Chauncey’s Great Outdoors were going to hear from Tom Penesis in charge of Out Reach Programs for the Illinois Dept of Natural Resources and this weekend he will be doing taste testing and sampling of Asian Carp in the Elgin area. You just might be surprised at what he says. Then Jeremie Bacon one of the founders of The Forge Lemont Quarries will be on to tell us about this unbelievable site of outdoor adventure, biking, wall climbing, fishing, food, and more for people from 3 years old on up in the southwest suburbs in Lemont Illinois, the Forge Lemont Quarries. Then Crystal Curfman Exec Director of the Illinois Conservation Foundation will come on and tell us who will be elected into the Illinois Outdoor Hall Of fame in the spring of next year and then she will tell us about the new Outdoor Illinois App available for iPhone and Android for free . Then Logan McKenzie from Blarney Bassmasters and Anglers Choice Tournaments will tell us about a fund raising fishing tournament out of the Port of Blarney on Aug 29 that is being done to help raise cash for his co angler that had an accident and is paralyzed from the chest down and has a family and a lot of medical bills and even if you don't fish there will be one heck of a raffle that you can win prizes by purchasing raffle tickets that day the 29th at the Port of Blarney between 9 and 12 noon.
