Another year down which means another end-of-year review episode. We decided to share not only our top reads but also the top reads of a few of our friends. In this quick and barely edited episode, our hosts discuss one of their favorite childhood stories, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. They both have a deep love for the stories of Narnia and discuss the magic of the world quite often. Listen as they talk about some of their more recent revelations and theories, and as Chelsea blesses us with her explanation of why Edmund has one of her favorite redemption arcs ever. This episode is full of spoilers, but the book has been out for 80 years so hopefully, they don't ruin too much for you.

This week our hosts are discussing Angeline Boulley's debut novel, Firekeeper's Daughter. This story follows 18-year-old Daunis as she is swept into an FBI investigation of a new lethal drug. While this is a heavier story (please check out trigger warnings), you will walk away from this book with a beautiful sense of hope.

After some harassment on her part, Mad wiggled her way back on for another episode this month (it didn't really take a lot of convincing). Chelsea and Taryn are again joined by their good friend Madison to review the next book in their Throne of Glass reread, Heir of Fire. This book plays such a significant role in the overarching plotline of the series and our hosts had an absolute blast talking about Aelin's journey. This book discusses grief, healing, and love, and will set the rest of the plot in motion. If you have not read the previous books please be aware that the general overview has spoilers for the three previous books. Since this book is so pivotal in the series, they also included a brief series spoiler discussion for the rest of the series at the end.
