Alberta Beer Week is a province-wide celebration of Alberta’s rich beer culture, and with nine days of festivities, Albertans are invited to experience all the best of Alberta beer.

Alberta now boasts more than 120 breweries. Earlier this year, Alberta brewers took home 17 Canadian Brewing Awards. Later this month, Alberta will host the international brewing community at the 2019 Master Brewers Conference in Calgary.

Alberta brewers are marking the launch of Alberta Beer Week with the release of their new collaboration brew, a hazy pale ale. Each year, brewers come together to brew an exciting beer and this year, it’s bigger than ever—for the first time, beer drinkers can find Unity Brew in taprooms and on the shelves of retailers across the province.

More than 1 million elementary, intermediate and secondary-level students under the voting age are casting Student Vote ballots from 9,500 schools throughout the country, with all 338 ridings represented.

This includes many schools in Edmonton, most of whom are hosting their votes today.
