Our choice of clothing says a great deal about us. We put cloths on for a purpose whether work or play fashion or function. Paul alludes to Isaiah’s description of the Lord’s armor in 59:17 to help the Ephesians and us understand what the helmet of Salvation is and how it helps us stand firm.

Faith is a powerful gift and defense against the enemy. It has protected God’s people in worst of times. This Sunday we look at: Why does Paul describe faith as a shield? What kind of faith shields us from flaming arrows? And, if you are like me, why does it feel like my faith isn’t working very well as a shield?

We are called to stand in unity. Standing can be tough depending upon where and what we are called to stand upon. The Gospel of Peace equips us with the ability to stand in all sorts of terrain, and allows us to stand in unity and strength.
