Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Marco Worrall and Mark Meehan to look back at a crazy week in the world of Chelsea sealed with a last gasp winner against Newcastle.
On the show tonight, in part one, we look at Tuchel’s team selection. Ask were we bad, Newcastle good or did we cancel each other out? Should Havertz have been red-carded for elbowing Burn? Should the ref have given a penalty for Chalobah’s clumsy challenge? And talking of referee David Coote, is he another bad referee in a long line of them?
In part two we discuss Werner and Lukaku competing to see who is the most inept with a football; how the subs helped, Kovacic especially. We applaud Havertz coming to the rescue and discuss the importance of the win and the emotional release that ensued.
In part three, Marco and Mark talk to us about the release of the new Gate 17 book ‘Tales from the Shed’ the profits of which will be going to the Big Stamford Bridge Sleep Out in aid of Stoll Veterans. We also have the Fannies for Man of the Match and some emails to read out.
And we wrap up in part four by previewing the Lille v Chelsea Champions’ League match on Wednesday.
