Alf is love - Alf is life.
Dylan and I picked this movie based purely of the color of the DVD case - The Loneliest Boy In The World (2022)
Oliver is a strange guy. He's been a shut-in for the majority of his life thanks to his Mother but now she passed away and with the threat of being institutionalized on the line Oliver has to do one very important thing - make a friend. Not an easy task sadly as he's just too inexperienced in the world but that's no problem as a new friend has moved in close by...in the cemetery.
So come play in the Barbie Dreamhouse, don't fight with your Sister - in fact put her head down and don't worry about the goldfish he's just resting as we make friends with The Loneliest Boy In The World (2022)

Was it the Government, some rich guys sick game or just plain old aliens?
This week we welcome Anje to the Cherry Pop Family with Cube (1997)
Six strangers wake in a room. There's a small crawlspace on each wall that leads to another room with six small crawlspaces on the way - every room is the same design, the only thing that changes is the colour. It's up to these people, who've never met before, to figure out why they're here and, more importantly, how to get out.
So get ready for some mathematics, suck a button for good luck and don't piss off the cop as we calculate our way through Cube (1997)

There's bad dates and then there's this.
This week Leilani has brought along something fun and Fresh (2022)
Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones) has had a string of bad dates - each one a different variety of Chad. She's about ready to give up when she stumbles upon a seemingly wonderful man, Steve (Sebastian Stan). He's cute, he's charming and he likes her. There's nothing she can do but fall head-over-heels for him. When he offers to take her away for the weekend she can't help but say yes, and it's there that the true horrors begin.
So scribble a friendly note in a magazine, take a picture - send it to your bestie and wax philosophy on the ethics of eating long-pig as we wine and dine our way through Fresh (2022)

Welcome to our New Years Party...at least I think it's a New Years Party.
JP has arrived again to celebrate the New Years with - Terror Train (1980)
A few years ago Alana (Jamiee Lee Curtis) along with her boyfriend Doc and a few of the other Frat college kids made the mistake of playing a prank on a young and impressionable Kenny. Things went wrong and changed everything forever - no more Frat parties like that anymore. But it's okay cause New Years has rolled around again and this'll be their last year. They've hired a train for the night but little do they know that someone has come seeking revenge. Could it be the mysterious Magician (David Copperfield) ? Or is someone else aboard?
So show us some close up magic, play the world's funniest prank by impaling yourself with a sword and keep swapping masks as we catch the coal with Terror Train (1980)

There's three rules...spoilers...they break the rules
Bronwyn is back and to even things out we're doing a proper Christmas movie this time - Gremlins (1984)
Billy is a young man - he works at the bank alongside his crush Kate and fends off the ever so unpleasant Mrs. Deagle. But one night, just before Christmas, his Dad returns home with an usual present. It's cute and fuzzy and comes with a lot of responsibility. There's just three rules essential to follow but sadly within just a day or two all three will get broken and the consequences are dire.
So show us your latest invention, head to the cinema for a movie and double check the wires to your clocks as we take a ride on an out-off-control tractor with Gremlins (1984)

"I just wanted Christmas to be liked it used to be."
I'm joined this week by a brand new guest and I get to introduce them to my yearly Christmas treat - Krampus (2015)
Max is still a kid but is starting to realize that Christmas isn't all smiles like it used to be when he was younger. His parents Sarah (Toni Collette) and Tom (Adam Scott) don't love each other like they used to, he doesn't get to hang out with his sister Beth now that she's a teenager and no one seems to get along with Aunt Linda, Uncle Howard and their kids...and yet they see them every year.
It isn't until his cousins mock his belief in Santa and his heartfelt wish that everyone just got along that Max truly gives up. He tears up his letter to Santa, tossing it to the wind and unleashing a festive nightmare on himself and his family as Krampus comes to claim them...one...by...one.
So grab some 'nog, get merry and huddle close to the fireplace as we stoke the flames with Krampus (2015)

God Damn Demon Snowmen
Pip sits down with me to talk Jack Frost (1997)
Jack Frost is an infamous serial killer who's on his way to be executed for his crimes when suddenly the transport vehicle crashes. In the aftermath Jack is sprayed with an unknown chemical and becomes one with the snow. With all this new found power he can finally enact a promise, a promise to get the small-town Sheriff who caught him.
This 90's killer Christmas snowman movie is an absolutely bananas trip that needs to be seen to be believed.
So stand calmly as you're garroted with Christmas lights, take a dip into a lukewarm bath and bathe yourself in anti-freeze as we Jingle our way through Jack Frost (1997)

I do believe in Santa.
Sarah's suggestion this week, so we took in the holiday cheer that is Violent Night (2022)
A holiday get-together does not go as planned as young Trudi and her divorced parents Jason and Linda meet up with the rest of the family to take in the Christmas spirit. Grandma Gertrude is exceptionally wealthy with three-hundred million casually sat in the vault downstairs. But Grandma isn't the only one who know it, as the house is invaded by holiday themed mercenaries, led by Mr. Scrooge (John Leguizamo). It's just a happy coincidence that disgruntled Santa (David Harbour) happened to be visiting right at that very moment. Santa himself has lost the Christmas jollies as all kids want now is money and video-games but when he sees young Trudi in need he digs into his Nordic, Viking roots and gets ready to give the mercenaries their lumps of coal.
So make sure to use full-milk not trim, say 'Hi' to your TikTok fans and get a strong grip on ol' Skull Crusher as we crack walnuts in the palms of our hands for Violent Night (2022)

We've all got the one neighbour.
Shawn is back and this week they brought along one of their favourites - The 'Burbs (1989)
Ray (Tom Hanks) is just your typical white suburban man...he's got the wife (Carrie Fisher), the kid, the white picket fence and the green lawn. He's surrounded by other houses just like his - that is until the house next door becomes a little too spooky. Now with the help of his fellow neighbours they investigate what could be the home to a family of deranged serial killers.
So be careful not to cross the property line lest the winds force you back, help yourself to whatever's in your neighbours fridge and don't forget to check the furnace as we smile and wave our way through The 'Burbs (1989)

Popcorn shotguns, balloon animal hunting dogs and a shadow T-Rex - what more do you want?
Destiny and I sit together again but this time it was their first time with - Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988)
Mike and Debb are just your typical couple, hiking out to make-out point they see a shooting star but little do they know that this is the just the beginning to the strangest night of their life. Descending upon the town is a gang of Killer Klowns aliens, who's UFO was the shooting star. The town is culled as the Klowns turn everyone into cotton candy and load them up onto their Funhouse Bigtop Spaceship.
So sit down to a puppet-show, collect your pizza for the suspiciously dressed delivery man and share a bottle of wine in the park as we twirl ourselves into oblivion with Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988)
