In verses 1-4 of Habakkuk 1, we were able to see the imporance of having a confidence and ability to be honest with God and pray with emotion. As we continue in Habakkuk 1, we see that God answered Habakkuk even when Habakkuk was emotional and honest with God. In the rest of chapter 1, we see the God is always listening and what it means to truly seek what God wants instead of only seeking for our circumstances to be changed. When we start to read Habakkuk's story, we see him begin by complaining and questioning God. In the first four verses of the first chapter of Habakkuk, he begins questioning God calmly and then gets angry with God as his conversation continues. In the midst of us feeling like God isn't there or He isn't listening, God wants us to talk with Him and be honest with Him, even if that means showing our true emotions to Him.
