  • #87 "Just the Facts Ma'am

Sgt Joe Friday, better know as Jack Webb was credited with the following phrase, "Just the Facts Ma'am. As we look closer, the real phrase was, "All I want are the facts man," the phrase "just the facts" came from a parody done about Dragnet called St George and the Dragonet, but Webb was credited with it after a few years. When it comes to fellowship with others in the "religious" word we can often get caught up in the "negotiables" of our relationship with Christ and really loose sight of the Facts of our Relationship. Let's talk about "just the facts" here on Chewing the Frat.

Let's talk about our Passions here on Chewing the Frat.

  • #85 "Checklists: Our Partners"

The world wants to tell us that Marriage is an old fashion idea. We hear them tell us that you have a right to be happy and if your wife does not make you happy you have every right to find you one that does. According to our Checklist on our Wives, that is so far from the truth. Let's see what the Bible says about how we treat our Wives here on Chewing the Frat.

  • #84 "Checklists: Being a Parent"

One of the top reasons cited for men in today's world not being the Father they want to be is that they do not have any role models of how to be the Father that their Father was. One of the Checklists that we are looking at today is the checklist of what the Bible says about being a Dad. Let's talk about that on Chewing the Frat.

  • #83 "Checklist Dealing with our Past"

The world tells us to blame our past on everyone from our moms who did not rock us correctly, to our third grade teacher who did not let us have the extra Twinkie at lunch. We can spend all of our lives dealing with the past, but the Bible gives us a great checklist of how to handle things in our lives. Today on Chewing the Frat, let's look at the Checklist of our Past.

  • #81 "I am acting like a CHILD? Really!"

Somebody told me that I was acting like a child. I begin to ask myself if that was true. Do I have things in my life that would represent how a 10 year old acts. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians that when we become men, we put away childish things. Are we acting like men or do we still have some of those "childish" habits in our lives. Let's talk about that on Chewing the Frat.

  • #80 "Unsubscribing"

The rate of unsubscribing of email lists that people find themselves on is only 1%. In other words, 99%of the people simply keep getting emails about things that really don't relate to their lives anymore and just clutter up their inbox. Often we do the same thing with our lives. Activities, things, toys, stuff, etc are a part of our lives, but really don't hold the value or importance in our lives the way they did at one point. We really need to begin to unsubscribe to many of these things in our lives. Let's talk about that on Chewing the Frat.

  • #79 "Keep Your Guard Up!"

The popularity of boxing over the past 100 years has been responsible for many phrases that have come out of the boxing word to become regular words in our English vocabulary. From saying someone is "on the ropes," when they are in a jam, to someone who gives up, we say they are "throwing in the towel." One phrase that is particularly fitting for all men to day is, "keep your guard up." Let's talk about that here on Chewing the Frat.

  • #78 "Can a Butterfly do THAT?"

In 1963 Edward Lorenz came up with an idea that would later be labeled, The Butterfly Effect. In essence, he posed the question can something small ever cause something greater to happen. In other words, can the flapping of a butterfly's wing cause a tornado in Texas. Well, I don't know if that is true or not, but I do know that there is a definite "Butterfly Effect" in the life of Christian Men. Let's talk about that here on Chewing The Frat.
