The CFP is live and onto the semifinals! What a wild 2 weeks of playoff and bowl games galore. Today we recapped the the first round and quarterfinals of the college football playoff. In our CFB news segment we dove into the coaching carousel as well as the transfer portal. This cycle alone there are a reported 4,000 players entering the division 1 transfer portal. We also discussed the current state of the CFP and college football as a whole. In our games of the week we discussed the Fiesta and Peach Bowl semifinals with picks by yours truly and the dreaded AI Bot.
Bowl season has started, Round 1 CFP games are here! Huge shout out to Navy in their victory over Army. Playoff games galore starting tonight and rolling into Saturday: Alabama and Oklahoma in a clash in Norman, Miami vs Texas A&M in a clash in College Station, Tulane and Ole Miss meet for a 2nd time this season, and JMU travels out to Eugene to face the Ducks of Oregon. In our CFB news segment we dove into the winner of the Heisman Trophy Fernando Mendoza and Indiana's meteoric rise under the helm of the Italian Cigarette himself Curt Cignetti. We discussed the coaching carousel and player news dealing in declaring for the NFL Draft, going into the transfer portal, as well as returning to their schools. We analyzed the current state of CFB and what needs to be done going forward to restore glory to the awesome game. Lastly in our games of the week we rattled off Chew's and the AI Bot's picks for the blockbuster matchups.
THE PLAYOFF BRACKET IS SET!!!! Lots of drama in the CFB world! With conference championship weekend over, we gave our flowers to the champs and recapped some scores and stats from last weekend. In our CFB news segment we ran through the final CFP rankings and the 12 team CFP. We analyzed the Bama and Miami decision over Notre Dame and heard from both sides of the argument. We took a deep dive into Notre Dame's war of words and tantrum as well. Next we contemplated is the 12 team playoff currently constructed to really have the "best 12 teams?" The coaching carousel continues spinning with lots of hires throughout the CFB world. There is a new notion of entire teams not just players opting out of bowl games and we listed the 9 confirmed so far. Shout out to the FCS playoffs and a bracket update; finished by rattling off our games of the week along with Chew's and the AI Bot's picks.
The CFB season has come to a close, CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND IS HERE!!! SELECTION SUNDAY AND PLAYOFF MADNESS IS HAPPENING!!! Welcome back to an extended episode of CCT where we dove into some scores and stats from around the world of CFB. In our CFB news segment we thoroughly discussed the 12-team playoff, the differences from last year, how the rankings, seeding, and byes work. On that same note we ran through Tuesday's CFP poll and the criteria the CFP committee uses to rank the teams. I ran through my predictions of the 12 teams to make the playoff this Sunday as well as the 5 potential teams competing for the final spot. We highlighted Duke's miraculous way to an ACC title berth via the 5th listed ACC tiebreaker and then took a never-ending whirl on the coaching carousel. Lane Kiffin to LSU, Pat Fitzgerald to Michigan State, Billy Napier to JMU, Penn State still without a coach, and much more in the wildest coaching cycle ever. Lastly we rattled off Chew's and the AI Bot's picks in our Games of the Week!
RIVALRY WEEKEND IS HERE!!! Last week of the cab regular season. Playoff and conference championship pushes for all teams. Today we recapped some scores and stats from last week including Pitt's stunning win over Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Oregon taking care of home turf in a win over former Pac 12 rival USC, etc. In our cab news segment we discussed the week 14 CFP Poll and some movers heading into the last week of the season, another whacky ride on the coaching carousel as the Kiffin sweepstakes is heating up, big win for Brian Kelly, Norvell to return as head coach at FSU next year, and much more. We ran through the beginning of the 24 team FCS playoffs starting tomorrow, rivalry weekend games, trophies fought for this week and throughout this college football season, as well as conference championship matchups and multiple teams' paths to clinch. Lastly in our games of the week we had picks by Chew and the dreaded AI bot!
WELCOME BACK TO CCT!!!! The return to everything CFB, today we caught up on the past few weeks recapping scores and stats from a few games including UGA's big win over Texas, SMU outlasting Miami in OT, and Texas Tech handling business and defeating BYU at home. We discussed the inaugural CFP ranking on November 4th and went through the week 13 rankings from this Tuesday. Next we dove into the Boo Carter case, recruiting, and NIL. We discussed a breakthrough in the state of Ohio in regard to NIL for high school athletes, Texas Tech's tortilla fines, Illinois governor's gambling winnings, NCAA eligibility changes and much more. Lastly, in our Games of the Week we had Chew's and the AI Bot's picks!

In our CFB News segment we discussed the firings of Trent Bray and James Franklin, Week 8's AP Poll, NIL deals, betting on pro sports approved for D1 athletes and staff, and a list of the most watched CFB games of the season.
