Patrice Walsh: former Luvabull, Single Mom, and the self styled Erin Brokovich of Rock and Roll came into the studio one hot afternoon in late July and sang her heart out. Patrice started playing guitar at age 13 and has not looked back since. She has that strong sense of purpose about her career and a strong voice to deliver her message. Padre Chris Doering comes into the studio with his guitar and a twelve pack of beer and by the way, he is a giant of a man. Needless to say, I was quite impressed! Padre Chris is a big fan of the late Johnny Cash and when you hear his original songs you will hear a bit of Mr. Cash in his booming voice. Dave and Megan are two thirds of the band Scale Model. This show is unplugged and we had a great time making it. I have also had the aural pleasure of seeing their band "Scale Model" live at The Abbey Pub here in Chicago. You must catch them live. They put on a great show.

Steve, his wife, and his brother arrived one evening and we had so much fun. Steve is a home grown Chicagoan with some absolutely wonderful songs. Steve is putting together a country/rockabilly band with his friend Father Chris Doering who sings like Johnny Cash and will be featured on our next show. Jessica Fogle comes to us from a rich and lengthy background. She wrote her first song at age 2. She has directed musical theater in New York and Chicago and while she is not performing her original music, she is a Piano Teacher. Sam Saunders and "The Sam Saunders Machine" are a kick ass rock and roll band making big waves in Chicago. He and his band have their own unique sound, but the influences of Eric Clapton, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones are obvious. CAU had the opportunity to record Sam "unplugged" and we had a blast!!! I know that you will enjoy his music. You can see Sam live on August 17th at Phyllisand#39; Musical Inn in Chicago, but look for this act to break out on to the National scene soon. They are that good.

Digable Cat came into the studio and from the moment we started we knew that this night was going to be magic. What a wonderful mix of sounds and music. Nathanand#39;s keyboards and violin playing was inspired. Dr. Bradand#39;s drumming was the glue. Alinaand#39;s vocals were, well, how can I put it.... Hot! When John came into the studio carrying 3 guitars I knew we were in store for a treat. Johnand#39;s bio reads like a PhD resume. John came to us through CAU alumni Matt Gandurski. They play together as "The Northside Southpaws", a totally left-handed, totally reso-phonic mandolin/guitar duo.
