People always brag online but this time of year always seems to bring out the self-fulfilling boasting in full force.
As we enter the new year with new things or new goals or new whatever...Let's take a moment to look at Social Media flexing and why I think it's not really that big of a deal.
*Please note this episode is honest and raw. TW for: Suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, and sexual abuse. Please reach out if you or someone you know is in need of help, I can help you find resources wherever you are located.*
Sometimes life is just about being right where you are - in your own truth. It may be a good time, it may be a tough time, but whatever time it is STEP INTO IT.
In this episode, I got the extreme pleasure of chatting with Allison who shares how we can all face challenges, grow from who we once were, and different areas in our lives where we can apply what we have learned about ourselves along the way. Some of our chat was fun, some of it was serious, all of it is real.
From careers to egg donation, dealing with the family, and leaving the church, I'm sure we can all learn a little about ourselves in this episode.
And if you're looking for spiritual guidance in your life, Allison just might be the motivation you need!

Being Childfree isn't always easy during the holidays and some years seem to be harder than others! Here's my take on some ways you can get yourself through it, whether it's mentally coping or dealing with questions from family and friends.
The holidays don't have to be difficult! You just have to find a way to get through it.
How do you feel when the only thing parents can say about themselves is that they have kids? How do you feel when the same (but opposite) is done by childfree people?
For some, being childfree is just part of who they are - it's one of the many facets that make up their life. For others, it seems like being childfree is almost the only thing that they really have to describe themselves.
In this episode, I chat about the differences between the two types of childfree people and compare them to parents who seem to have the same type of thing going on.
What kind of legacy will you leave behind? Do you even want to leave a legacy? What exactly does legacy mean to you?
In this episode, I talk about why we shouldn't focus on society's version of "leaving a legacy" and how my "mid-life crisis" affects me.
Get ready for some real talk.
It's a long one, ya'll. But we cover a few more insights than just travel. Join me in this episode to chat with Dan and Mikkel who fill us in on childfree travel tips, setting yourself up to travel more, and Dan gets fully philosophical!

I had a little moment this week, realizing something that I'm grateful for that, for me, is a benefit of being childfree and not so much one of my actual reasons. Although, maybe it IS a reason now.
This week, I'm tapping into something that I'm grateful for and how you can find something similar in your own life. Being childfree has lots of benefits and sometimes it's nice to step back and simply appreciate them.
We've all been here at some point or another in our lives. That time when you must put your foot down and speak up for yourself.
Maybe people are intentionally crossing the line with you when it comes to your childfree lifestyle, or maybe they don't even know what they're doing. Either way, we discuss some ways that people may be taking advantage of you simply because you're childfree and how you can start to set boundaries for these people.
I thought and thought about what would be best for this episode. I've had a weird few weeks and have been in my head a bit. It didn't feel authentic to jump on and preach the good word when my Mood was really messing with me. So this week I decided to be honest, but also explain how our Moods (whether they come from mental issues, physical issues, or other life curveballs) can contribute to our childfree status.
If you're feeling down or if you've ever had one of those weeks, let's get through it together and try to look at the bright side of....emotions.
I promise I do not cry.
This week I had my longtime friend, Heather, join me for a chat about family, dating, the single life, acceptance, birth control/pregnancy, and some random things in between. A lighthearted episode with lots of laughs and a few insights into both of our personal lives.
