With schools open how do you stay safe and maintain social distance

with examinations classes open in zambia how do parents feel and what are they doing to make sure that they kids are safe?

schools have closed as part of necessary measures, then youths may no longer have that sense of structure and stimulation that is provided by that environment, and now they have less opportunity to be with their friends and get that social support that is essential for good mental well-being.

Keneilwe's friends are more of a support system than her family. Staying safe is important, but parting with her friends for lockdown was emotional.

Maureen's family used to run a church from their own home, where they enjoyed seeing their community come together to share love for their faith and each other. Now faith traditions are having to find new ways to gather for worship and create community.
