Al-Ghazali's Religious and Moral Teachings—timeless spiritual and ethical guidance on pride, love, sincerity, submission to God's will, and the path to happiness. Translated by Syed Nawab Ali, narrated by Mark Cassidy.
📖 About the Work
This 1921 compilation distills the ethical and spiritual insights of Imam Al-Ghazali, one of Islam's greatest scholars. Drawing from his magnum opus Ihya Ulum al-Din (The Revival of the Religious Sciences), these teachings explore the nature of man, pride, friendship, love, the unity of God, and the refinement of character and inner life.
✍️ About Al-Ghazali
Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali (1058–1111) was a Persian theologian, philosopher, jurist, and mystic whose influence profoundly shaped Islamic thought. Revered across Sunni Islamic traditions and beyond, his works—particularly Ihya Ulum al-Din—remain among the most important texts in Islamic spirituality and ethics.
🌍 About the Translator
Syed Nawab Ali Chowdhury (1863–1929) was a prominent Bengali zamindar, politician, and educationist who served as the Nawab of Dhanbari in East Bengal (now Bangladesh). He advanced Muslim education and political representation during British India, and his 1921 translation made Al-Ghazali's wisdom accessible to English readers.
