If you are a chiropractor, maybe your superpower is your belief in the science, art and philosophy of chiropractic? A patient very kindly yesterday said "You are amazing, Dr Rubin." I replied..."the healing power of the body is amazing. We just tapped into it." That is our superpower! Tapping into the bodies incredible potential!

"The responsibilities are many," BJ Palmer says. Chiropractic is NOT the science, art & philosophy of cracking backs. It is SOOOO much bigger than that. Understand that it's not easy getting through chiropractic school, it's not easy starting a practice or associating or even interning in a new practice. There are a lot of responsibilities. But chiropractic in and of itself IS simple. Find a subluxation, fix it in whatever way feels right (no technique wars), and then: Next! Move to the next pregnant momma, next child with Autism, next baby, and repeat the process. Find, fix, repeat. That is simple.

In Frontiers of Neuroscience, a recent article talked about blending the ancient wisdom of Yoga with modern neuroscience into something called Yoga Therapy. The article was filled with specific philosophical tenets of Yoga, with statements like "moving between the 'gunas' of yoga and neural platforms". Brain based chiropractors can blend chiropractic philosophy with modern neuroscience the way Yoga Therapy is now. We've got a message to deliver, about chiropractic, about wellness, about vitalism, about kids. Will you deliver that message? What are you doing to ensure that your practice members get this message? Do they see and hear it every day when visiting your clinics or offices? Because you know they certainly aren't getting it anywhere else! We've GOT to deliver the message! No one else will!

If everybody has a spine, and every spine has a subluxation, who does that leave out? Building a successful business, no matter what that business happens to be, is a 'numbers' game! If the business is not successful, then you are not talking to enough people! We know every spine has a subluxation, but most people don't! Talk the 'tic' to more people and you will invariably build your business.

We MUST tell the world what it is that we do and not expect them to know. It is our duty to explain the WHY behind the WHAT we do, since so many people around the world think chiropractic is for cracking backs and treating neck aches and back sprains. We are not back crackers, we are brain, spine and nerve system specialists. But if we don't tell our practice members that, who will?

What is innate intelligence? Educated intelligence? What was BJ Palmer talking about? It is really the connection he was addressing in the picture he calls 'the most valuable drawing in the world.' What chiropractic really does is to address an interference between the innate brain and the innate body (as BJ mentions). That interference, what we call a subluxation, lessens the potential of that person, that child, that pregnant momma. As Reggie Gold used to say, "you are far better off without a subluxation than you are with one!"

Working with kids on the Autism spectrum requires a long term care plan. A child with Autism who starts a brain-based chiropractic program should expect a 6 month to 1 year care plan to really see the benefits of neuroplasticity in action. It takes months to shift the child's brain patterning from working the way it's always been to working in a new way. In the early stages you might see mild changes in nerve system test results, but the bigger changes occur after months of brain-based chiropractic and functional neurological exercises.

I can also means I may or may not. I could, I should, I would...you can't 'could' do anything! Someone either does something or they don't. We need to change our mindsets from the coulda, woulda, shoulda's to I will do it, I have done it! What you focus on expands. If you focus on I could or worse, I can't, then you may not or you won't! I enjoy what Les Brown says about this: "Get it done in 21!"
