And then there was The Beanpot, captured by Northeastern for the fifth time in six tries -- in 3-on-3 OT again, and we discuss the abomination of that.

Former Cornell captain and assistant coach Topher Scott, who spent last season as Dir. of Hockey Ops for Michigan, joins us to talk about a variety of topics, including dedicating himself full time to his business. There some Hobey talk, and we dive into the Major Junior eligibility issue -- discussing where things stand now.

We're down to Championship Saturday in the conference tournaments, and unto itself, it means a lot of great drama is ahead on the ice. But it also means we're close to the NCAA Tournament field being determined and, more interestingly, bracketed. This year contains a number of potentially thorny, and in some cases, unprecedented situations for the NCAA's Men's Ice Hockey Committee to ponder and work out.
