Today we're discussing Addiction treatment, terms, ideas and definitions. As I hinted at in the last episode, these are important topics to me. I wasn't ok with some of the stigma that came with the special episode I talk about that here among other topics.

Additionally, there's an ad for my first giveaway and the podcast's first guest, Kristen Zavo, who will be appearing on next week's episode.

Finally, we close with this week's Choose A Card and Good Egg.

Thanks for listening to episode 4 of the Choose Your Struggle Podcast.

This week I talk about embracing what gives you pleasure and ignoring society's expectations (as long as you're not hurting anyone!). I dispel the myth of the guilty pleasure and discuss a few of the things I love that are considered in that category.

At the end, there's also this episode's Chose Your Card and Good Egg! Thanks for tuning in to the Choose Your Struggle Podcast.

Questions, comments, thoughts, concerns? I want to hear from you! You can learn more at my website, www.JayShifman.com.

This interview was first released by The Addiction Podcast, Point of No Return on May 30th 2019.   A few points: contrary to what the host says in this show, I am not 'Sober'. But I am in recovery. I'll discuss the difference in a later episodes. Also, the views of the host do not always reflect my views (specifically around Medically Assisted Treatment and using the word clean).  Stick around after the interview for this episode's Chose Your Card and Good Egg! Thanks for tuning in to the Choose Your Struggle Podcast. You can learn more at my website, www.JayShifman.com.

The first official episode of the Choose Your Struggle podcast. Thanks for coming along on this ride. This episode is the introduction! A bit shorter than future episodes will be, on this episode I introduce the idea of Choose Your Struggle, tell you a little bit about me and do the first edition of regular segments Choose a Card and Good Egg.  You can learn more about my work at my website, www.JayShifman.com.
