We are back with Season Three!!! 

Excited to kick off the season with a hot spicy topic; SEX  .Well not sex exclusively but rather the experience of one character Nura ,based on Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah's collection of stories titled The Sex Lives of African Women. The book is a record of interviews and stories shared by African women and women of African descent on their sex experiences and how they have evolved over time. Plug in and enjoy our take of one character Nura who unapologetically shares her  choices that lead to pleasure on her own terms 

Our first review from the beautifully crafted collection  titled ,"African Love Stories : Anthology by Ama Ata Aidoo which comprises 21 short stories by women, that span across the African continent – from Egypt to South Africa.

This first story, titled Something Old, Something New by Leila Leila Aboulela, introduces two main characters ;a young Sudanese Muslim woman  and a white Muslim man from Edinburgh , and how they allow for love to grow and bind them together despite the whirlwind worlds they each come from.A definite refreshingly calming look at how the true nature of love is away from the traditional romantic, unrealistic, happily-ever-after setting that most fairy tales have.A new modern tale to love .

Attem, is our fourth story to review off of  Bolu's collection of short stories collection  titled Love in Colour.The story introduces us to Bolus's retelling of the native Nigerian folklore titled  “Ituen and the King’s Wife,".The story set in pre-industrial, pre-colonial Africa and introduces a rich cultural backdrop where love , pleasure, strength and connection are highlighted and celebrated; a definite adventure . Through the genius creative of Alexia Arthur's in her collection of short stories encapsulated in the book How To Love A Jamaican ,we look at how children learn and unlearn love,in all its shades,tones and tints from their parents. We Eat Our Daughters brings to life the mother-daughter relationship and the role that plays in any given society in four beautifully written stories.Its a must listen.Enjoy :) 

Join us as we sample our first story from the ever talented Jhumpa Lahiri and her renowed Pulitzer Prize masterpiece ,'Interpreter of Maladies.The Blessed House brings life to two characters, who are so so similar but also discover their differences as they navigate between the Indian traditions they've inherited and the baffling new world,well in this case , new house as they start their journey as newly weds.Beautifully written,enjoy!

Our first review of world renowned author, Haruki Murakami through this story that is part of his short stories collection titled Men Without Women.The story depict the character who has meticulously shielded himself from the whirlwinds often associated with love and relationships, only to find himself in the thrust in the deep end,hook line and sink!
