A few things blew me away in my talk with Noelle: she hated to run (I don’t think she does anymore, but you’ll have to listen to find out), she returned to play Division I lacrosse after losing her leg above the knee, she did countless agility drills in practice, which might well have set her up for success in the Paralympics, and she beat the best person in the world in her very first meet (when she wasn’t even sure where the start and finish lines were on the track the day before).

During this chat, we had probably the most profound moment we’ve had in the more than a year of doing these when Cheri recounted the story of why she got back in the sport. April 22, 2021 Sarah Will - Sarah Will is the most decorated athlete in U.S. Paralympic Alpine Skiing Team history with her 13 Paralympic medals in 10 years of competitive skiing.
Sarah Will retired after sweeping four gold medals in all four alpine disciplines (downhill, super-G, giant slalom and slalom) at Salt Lake City. She was nominated for an ESPY Award as Best Athlete with a Disability and worked as a sports commentator at the Olympic Winter Games. She is an advocate for accessibility, working to make her community a more accessible place for disabled individuals.
