In this episode I am joined once again by Nathan Johnson, professor of Moral Philosophy at New College Franklin. We walk through the history of Marxism, stopping to highlight the Soviet Union’s try at the ideas. It’s like the same script has been playing out in various nations through history - hate capitalism and claim that it’s based on exploitation, communicate an oppressor vs. oppressed hierarchy, exalt the state as benevolent, etc. Do these ideas sound familiar? In this episode Zac and I are on our way to Atlanta. It’s a four hour drive and we have a lot to talk about related to artificial intelligence, economics and Christianity.  Without getting into the terminator-esque discussion that is normally part and parcel to discussions about artificial intelligence (like you would hear on the Joe Rogan podcast), we talk about how artificial intelligence will affect economics in a practical sense over the next decade. Whereas technologists think of AI in terms of the cool things it can do, economists think of it in terms of the costs that it will reduce for the market place.
