This week Nic looked at Philippians 3:1-11. In these verses Paul gave a warning to the church in Philippi to not live by trying to earn God’s approval because we are righteous before God through faith in Jesus alone.

This week we continued to look at the book of Philippians as Nic spoke to us from chapter 2 and verses 1-11. He spoke to us about the importance of finding unity within the church, not just through trying harder, but by looking to a new role model.

As we begin a new semester Seth took a week to remind us of what our vision is and how we want to see that vision played out in the next 12 months. If you consider Christ Central your home church or if you’re considering joining us or visiting, then this is a great message to listen too!

This week we continued out series on Philippians with Seth talking to us about eternity. He spoke from the famous verses in chapter 1 where Paul declares, “To live is Christ and to die is gain.” It was a message focussing on death and suffering and why we can find joy in the midst of both!

This week we continued our preaching series looking at the book of Philippians and visiting speaker Ian Ashby spoke about the importance of being a united church in the midst of difficulties, trials and challenges.

This week Nic continued our series by looking at Chapter 1:12-18. However he approached it by speaking about how we should study the Bible in a way that helps us to understand what it is really saying and how we can apply it to our lives.

This week Seth continued our series looking at the book of Philippians. He spoke from chapter 1:9-11 on ‘What really matters!’ as we talked about how we want to be a church community of love, growth and salvation!

This week Nic started our new teaching series looking at the book of Philippians by asking the question ‘Who are we in Christ?’ We looked at Philippians 1:1-8 and spoke about three areas of our identity that change once we come into a relationship with Jesus.

This week Gareth and Raye Forsey were with us from New Hampshire - they are part of the team who help to oversee Christ Central. And this we looked at what it means to start a new church community by looking at Acts 16 and the story of how the church in Philippi started.
