We are not charged to maximize our regular attendance, get people to fill out cards, raise their hands, walk isles or pray prayers.  We also aren’t to simply make converts. We are called to make disciples.

Palm Sunday. . .remembering the announcement that the fullness of time had finally come. Those in the crowd had clashing ideas and claims regarding who Jesus was. May we have clear and distinct voices in the crowd today! He is the King of kings and Lord of lords who came to save His people from their sins.

The focus of the world is on position and power.  The focus of the kingdom of heaven is on humility and service.  Jesus calls the disciples and us today to be different than the world and to humble ourselves and serve one another and our neighbor.

So, who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven? Fortunately, the answer is the same for those within our circles as it was when the disciples asked Jesus to settle the issue within theirs. Here's a hint. . .it wasn't any of the twelve and it's not you or me.

Jesus spoke not only of the necessity but the certainty of being delivered, killed, and then raised from the dead. These words were significant, distressing, yet hope-filled. And, of course, they called for a response.
