Have you ever listened in on a conversation that was both interesting and uplifting? Today’s passage gives us one of those rare moments in the gospels where we get to see what Jesus says to His Father. We get to hear His prayer for His disciples, and it is truly amazing. Let’s open the Bible together and find out what Jesus prays for those who follow Him.

People look for many ways to deal with deep sorrow, loss, or hard times. As Christians, we know that Jesus has promised us a steady hope when life gets tough. But how can we trust these promises? This morning, let’s see where our hope comes from by listening to some of Jesus’ last words to His disciples before He went to the cross.

We all know what it feels like to be alone. It can be unsettling, no matter the situation. In John 16, Jesus is just hours from the cross. Some of His final words to the disciples are a promise that they will never be alone. Let’s take a closer look at Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit and what it means for us as His followers today!
